2025 - Celebrating Us - An Intergenerational Event
Celebrating Us was our FREE intergenerational celebration in 2025.
Pride in Belper joined up with 3 local care homes to bring some summer fun. There were songs, stories and music as well as some delicious refreshments which kept the energy flowing.
Friday 25th July at Belper Views.
Monday 28th July at Spencer Grove.
Tuesday 29th July at Holbrook Hall.
All events lasted one hour and started at 10.30am.
We celebrated all that was brilliant about each other and our Belper community.
The sessions were suitable for all ages.
2024 - The Most Flamboyant Flamingo
On Wednesday 30th October 2024 we held a very special event at Belper Strutts Centre between 2pm and 4pm.
Life Gets Better Together saw author Troy Jenkinson deliver a session based around the new book ‘The Most Flamboyant Flamingo in the Whole Wide World’.
This is a story about how love has no one way, no one look and no one direction – it is simply a special connection between people (or flamingos in this case) that should be treasured and celebrated.
Troy delivered activities including, spot the difference, face painting, hunt the shrimp and make your own flamingo! Troy was available to answer any questions the children, or their adults had in a supportive and welcoming way.
