Life Gets Better Together
Event Postponed.
On Monday 29th July we will be holding a very special event at Belper Library between 2pm and 4pm.
Life Gets Better Together will see author Troy Jenkinson and educator John Yates-Harold delivering a session based around their co-created new book ‘The Most Fabulous Flamingo in the Whole Wide World’.
This is a story about how love has no one way, no one look and no one direction – it is simply a special connection between people (or flamingos in this case) that should be treasured and celebrated.
Dormouse Books are a proud sponsor of Pride in Belper and are helping to host the event. Stephanie Limb will be there with an array of inclusive books for children and you to look at and share at your leisure.
Troy and John will then be delivering activities including, spot the difference, face painting, hunt the shrimp and make your own flamingo! They will of course be answering any questions the children, or their adults have in a supportive and welcoming way.
We are hoping to share the end of the session with the residents from Ada Belfield house to make this a truly multi-generational event.
Tickets are FREE! However you must book as spaces are limited.
The workshop is aimed at children aged 4 – 11.
